Biodiversity in Germany

In collaboration with the Special Botany and Functional Biodiversity working group at the University of Leipzig, I designed numerous infographics for the “Biodiversity Fact Check” and developed the color concept for the layout. At 1256 pages, this very comprehensive work shows perspectives for the conservation of biodiversity in Germany. It examines the ecosystems of forests, agricultural and open land, urban areas, coasts and coastal waters, inland waters and floodplains as well as soil biodiversity. A summary summarizes the most important results of the “Biodiversity Fact Check”.

As the main graphic, I have illustrated the 6 ecosystems in a very complex 3D scene in low poly style. These “pie slices” also serve as central motifs for other infographics, for example in the full-page chapter summaries. Both books can also be downloaded free of charge as open access versions.
