It’s getting warmer …
What has happened since the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro over the last 25 years in terms of climate protection and climate change and what consequences can we expect? I illustrated these questions in a double-page infographic in 3D for the June issue of bild der wissenschaft. Unfortunately, the answer is sobering: since 1990, we have still been blowing far too much CO2 into our atmosphere. The average temperature rise of our planet can now only be slowed down, but not stopped. It makes a huge difference whether the earth warms by an average of two or four degrees. However, the effects on our planet are already devastating if the average temperature is only two degrees higher.
