Ecologically optimizing packaging:
what manufacturers and retailers can do
For the “innoredux” project – reducing plastic, initiated by the Institute for Ecological Economic Research in Heidelberg, I created two animated films, one aimed at companies and the other at municipalities. The aim is to avoid plastic packaging as much as possible and to use sustainable packaging instead.
Reducing packaging waste in cities:
the influence and control options of municipalities
The second film is aimed at local authorities and helps them to make the right decision in the jungle of packaging options.
Design of the guides
Both films refer to the detailed guidelines that I also designed. They help companies and municipalities to develop new packaging strategies so that plastic waste no longer pollutes the environment.

logo design and infographics
In addition to the two films and guides, I also designed the logo for the Heidelberg Packaging Laboratory “Everything in, little on the outside” (Verpackungslabor Heidelberg “Alles drin, wenig drum”) as part of the project, as well as developing five infographics illustrating the ecological balance of packaging for tomato purée, almonds, hand soap, fabric detergent and cheese.
