The principle of lock and key is not only very practical in our everyday lives, but it is also represented in molecular biology and plays a very important role, for example in our immune system or in digestion. For the “Daily Life & Research” section of the PSI magazine, I illustrated the lock-and-key principle, once as a door lock and once as a molecule.
